Our House-Made Ice Creams

Who can resist the creamy richness of house-made ice cream? If you think you can, you’ve never tried ours!

Pastry Chef Allison has found a delicious way to combine just five simple ingredients into a delectable ice cream base and our customers can’t get enough of it. Egg yolks, cream, sugar, milk, and vanilla beans are mixed together and cooked to the perfect consistency, making sure the creamy richness of the ice cream base has thickened up to perfectly coat the back of Allison’s wooden spoon. Each ice cream base is cooled overnight before getting churned in our kitchen daily.

Our ice cream is a customer favorite – over 100+ quarts a week are consumed at both the Black Bass and Lumberville General Store. The most popular flavors are vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon. Depending upon the time of year, Allison loves to use seasonal flavors. Fall is just around the corner - the perfect time for spiced pumpkin gelato drizzled with caramel sauce.
